Ontario Grand Prix
The 45+ race sees Darrin get into an early 5 man break.  The break gets over 30 seconds and looks like the race is over.  Darrin's break lasted for over 30 minutes.  He has the race in his hands for the win, but the field chases hard and they catch the break with 3 laps to go. Another 3 man break goes, with no Pinnaclife racers on board.  Alan makes a big move to cross the gap and makes it.  Jim, Bruce, Jay, Darrin, and Dave F. shut down the chase and Alan sprints in to get 3rd place.  Great job everyone!

July 11th News

CBR Dominguez Hills
The 40+ race is very fast with many attempted breaks.  Alan takes his shot attacking the field several laps in a row.  Jay makes a big move a lap later, and Darrin and Kenny bridge to a few good breaks.  Ian moves up to the front for a pull at full speed.  No one gets away and it comes down to a field sprint with Steve getting 7th place.  Great finish Steve in this very fast race.
The 50+ race saw Pinnaclife going from the gun.  Dave gets off in a small break, but is brought back. A two man break goes and Kenny, Dog (Wayne), Jay and Dave Fetah chase hard for several laps.  Kenny, and Dave F. set up the sprint by pulling Dave P. the last half lap at 30+.  Dave powers in, winning the field sprint.
The 55+ race was quick, with Dog getting into a break early in the race. The break is brought back, so Dog sets up for the final field sprint taking a great 5th place.  Nice work Dog.
Our own Mike Edwards gets 8th place in the 60+.  Mike's moving up every week!

Ontario Airport Criterium
50+ The team takes control early sending Kenny up the road, and he stays away for a couple laps.  When he gets brought back Dave goes on attack.  He is tailed, and when that attack stops, Gary goes and gets  fast gap with two other riders.  The team sets up control at the front, Dave F, Kenny, Rick and Dave P. taking turns setting the pace.  Gary works over the break and spits out a rider, which the team picks up with 6 laps to go.  Gary out-sprints the other rider bringing home the win!  Dave. Kenny and Rick lead out Dave P. and he wins the field sprint to take third place.  The team controlled the whole race.  Great work everyone.
45+ Steve gets into an early break in the first lap with one other rider.  Dave P. bridges up with one rider, and soon the break was gone with 8 riders taking turns.  Gary, Kenny, and Dave F. control the attacks and the chase.  Dave and Steve lap the field with 3 laps to go.  Dave F., Kenny and Gary line up the train for Dave P. and Steve for several laps.   Steve powers through the chaos and takes 2nd, with Dave getting 5th overall.  It was a great team showing.

San Pedro Grand Prix
Steve, Gary and Alan power through the winding course, staying near the front.  Alan gets into a break with 2 others, but they are brought back.  A small break gets away and Gary powers the front to bring them back.  A single rider gets away with one to go and Steve makes a big move to get 2nd in the field sprint, 3rd overall.  Alan avoids a crash and crosses the line in 8th overall.  Unfortunately Gary crashes in the malay, and is taken to the hospital.  We are waiting to hear how he is doing.  Everyone wish him the best as he goes though this difficult time.  Gary is a key racer in this organization and we need him back to full strength.
